Kindness Goes a Long Way - Crazy Crafters Team Project Highlights

Hello and welcome to Friday!!

As always, Friday means Project Highlights with the Crazy Crafters.
There are so enormously talented demonstrators out in the SU world and their projects are so inspiring - one in particular caught my eye.

Stamping randomly over Whisper White with different stamps from the Oh So Succulent stamp set, Kylie has created a very unique card as part of Global Design Project Weekly Challenges.  There's a new challenge posted every week.

If you are not familiar with the Global Design Project Challenges, use the link above and pop over and take a look.  This week was a colour challenge.  We had to use Peekaboo Peach, Bermuda Bay and Early Espresso plus a free choice.

So I decided to give these colours a whirl and used Sweet Sugarplum as my free choice colour.   I made two cards - one to enter in #GDP77 and the other for tonight's highlights.  Deciding which one to go where was an effect in itself.  You can see my #GDP77 entry HERE

I decided on this card for tonight:

Staying with the same style as Kylie, I stamped my own background with a floral image from the Penned and Painted Stamp Set.  It's the first time I've used this set and didn't realise how pretty it is.  As you can see I have used the must have Early Espresso as my card base and Peekaboo Peach, Bermuda Bay and my free choice Sweet Sugarplum for the background.

I chose the sentiment from Kinda Electric ( my first ever stamp set I bought!!!) and stamped this in Bemuda Bay, then die cut with one of the ovals from Stitched Shapes Framelits Dies.  This die set is A MUST to have - it's so universal with ovals, circles and squares - you need this in your stash!!
I then layered this on a piece of Early Espresso die cut with the Layering Ovals Framelits Dies.
I added just a few enamel shapes in same colours for a bit of interest to finish off.

This would look great in any colour combination and creating your own unique backgrounds is so much fun - the possibilities are endless!!
