Thinking of You - Crazy Crafters Team Project Highlights

Hello and welcome to Friday!!

As always, Friday means Project Highlights with the Crazy Crafters.

Last weekend I was creating cards for various occasions and blog hops and a few involved using washi tape.  Now if you are like me, you have a tonne of washi tape sitting in a basket somewhere that very rarely gets used - right??

Well I decided it was about time that I put some of that washi to good use.
So I created the card below:

Again I have used my favourite colour combination of Night of Navy and Whisper White.  I made a ribbon border top and bottom with Floral Boutique Designer Series Washi Tape and cut the dragonfly using Detailed Dragonfly Thinlits Dies.  Lastly, I stamped the sentiment from the Window Shopping stamp set in Night of Navy ink.

I couldn't believe how easy this card was to create - I made 10 cards in 10 minutes!!!!
That's a record for me!

Want to make this too???? You can!!

Sale-A-Bration Blog Hop with The Crazy Crafters

Welcome to another Crazy Crafters Blog Hop!
Just when you thought Sale-a-Bration couldn't get any better,
Stampin' Up!® have released three NEW Sale-a-Bration items
today and this wonderful hop is highlighting these NEW products.

They are all amazing so it was really hard to choose which one to use.
I decided to use the Make a Medallion stamp set.  And here is what I created:

I have chosen Bermuda Bay and Mint Macaron for my colour combination. Using Bermuda Bay as my card base, I randomly stamped one of the beautiful medallions in Bermuda Bay ink from the Make a Medallion stamp set onto Whisper White Cardstock.
I then took the other medallion from the set and stamped that in Mint Macaron over the first medallion.  These two colours look so nice together and created a pattern that somewhat reminded me of patterns found on Persian rugs or carpets.

Using a sentiment from the same stamp set, I stamped "thanks" in the centre medallion.  The inside I decorated with a simple corner stamp, again from the same set.

I had so much fun playing with the Make a Medallion stamp set today and I can wait to try the Reverse Words stamp set and the Glimmer Paper.

Remember these NEW products can be yours FREE!!!
Make a purchase of $90AUD and choose 1 free product, purchase $180 and choose TWO free products and so on!!!
Check out all the free products available HERE

My online store is open 24/7 for your convenience and if you don't have a copy of the latest catalogues yet....contact me and I will send one to you!

Hope you have fun hopping around today

Crazy Crafters Blog Hop with Georgia Giguere

Hello again and welcome to the Crazy Crafters Bog Hop with our special guest, US demonstrator Georgia Giguere from Stampin' with Georgia -
see Georgia's amazing creations here

You may be joining our hop here with me, Leisa Pedersen or you may have come from the person previous to me.  Where ever you started, don't miss a single post.  There are so many talented demonstrators in our hop today.

As Georgia is our special guest our theme is to CASE (copy and selectively edit) any project that has been created by Georgia. This alone was a task in itself.........so many gorgeous projects to choose from!

This is Georgia's card I have chosen to case:

And here is my card:

My card base is Night of Navy and I layered this with Whisper White Thick using dimensionals.  I also stamped a gorgeous sentiment from the Suite Sentiments stamp set in Night of Navy and cut the dragonfly using Detailed Dragonfly Thinlits Dies.

The Floral Boutique Designer Washi Tape was a perfect compliment to the card base so I used all three designs of various lengths to create the accent at the top.

I tried using the Solid Bakers Twine in Night of Navy for the ribbon accent but it just didn't look right.  So I kind of 'braided' the navy with white by tying a small knot at one and then crossing the two colours over each other and tied anther knot to hold in place.  It worked a treat and was just enough to add that little extra interest.

Want to make this too???? You can!!

Sealed With a Kiss - Crazy Crafters Team Project Highlights

Hello again...

TGIF!!
Thank gosh it's Friday!!  I have had a busy week and I
am really looking forward to some craft and relaxation on the weekend.

I hope you all got pampered with flowers and chocolates
for Valentine's Day on Tuesday....I did!!! I bought myself a box of peanut M&M's and scoffed the lot!!  So yummy.

A close friend of our family asked me to make a card for his wife - he said it would be something different to his normal 'computer paper' card (lol).

Here is the card I made for him:

I just love Real Red and Whisper White together. I found doing four layers with this card worked best. It's made up of a card base of Real Red card stock, second layer of Whisper White Thick, then another layer of Real Red with the forth layer a split of Whisper White card stock and a piece of gorgeous Designer Series Paper from the Sending Love stack. I adhered layers three and four to the bottom layers using Stampin' Dimensionals.

I cut two squares; the Whisper White one I used the Stitched Shapes Framelits to give it a bit of texture and the one in Real Red slightly larger and offset them to create a diamond look.  I stamped the cute sentiment from the Sealed with Love stamp set onto the white to complete the greeting.

I couldn't have a sealed with a kiss sentiment if there was no "kiss".  I used the Sweetheart Punch to punch out two hearts and scored them in the middle, covered them using the Wink of Stella glitter brush and put them together to look like a huge set of glossy lips.
A perfect smooch if you ask me!!

Caught a Bug - International Blog Highlights

Hello Everyone

Welcome to another awesome blog hop.
We are being highlighted internationally today by the lovely Kylie Bertucci.

Our theme for this highlight is:

Get Well Soon

Giving a card is a wonderful way to cheer someone up when they are feeling down, and it's 100 times better when that card is handmade.

Here is my creation:

I wanted to keep it bright and cheery so I have used a variety of ink colours from the Brights colour family.

Starting with a Bermuda Bay as the base colour, I then randomly stamped an array of bugs from the Beetles and Bugs stamp set. I used Brushwork Alphabet to create the "Caught a Bug" question and fussy cut. The Get Well Soon sentiment is from Greatest Greetings and you might just notice that I masked the end of sentiment with washi tape) and the Jar of Love stamp set for the jar image.

I used the Everyday Jars Framelits to cut out the jar and the Classic Label Punch to cut sentiment, used Dimensionals and Foam Adhesive strips to adhere to the Whisper White and a couple of Brights Enamel Shapes to jazz up sentiment label to finish off.

Did you know you can VOTE for my project????
The top 10 winners will get to take part of an international blog hop.
If you feel my project is worthy of your vote, you can do that here

Love Love Love

Hello Everyone!

Another week has passed (already)!
Gee, Friday comes around fast.............or it seems that way!
Another great week of Team Project Highlights with the Crazy Crafters.

Kylie's favourite hashtag #loveitchopit has been put to good use this week.
I have chopped over half of my 12x12 papers - the other half I will keep for my scrapbook layouts.
I cannot believe I didn't do this sooner.  It make putting together a card sooo much easier and faster, which allows time to move onto other projects.

Keeping with the love theme of February,
I created this quick and simple card in under 5 minutes.

Using Real Red Cardstock as my card base and for the accents, I then simply used some of the gorgeous Sending Love Designer Series Paper.
I love the little strings of hearts - it's like they are falling and are so sweet.

I used the Sunshine Wishes thinlits to create the accents.  Cute, don't you think?

The Crazy Crafters Team Project Highlights are every Friday night
and you can vote for your favourite.  I hope you feel my project is worthy of your vote and if so you can cast your vote here.

We all love receiving comments on our blogs so be sure to check out

Crazy Crafters Blog Hop with Shannon Lane

Welcome to the Crazy Crafters Blog Hop with our very special guest, Canadian demonstrator and 2017 Artisan Design Team member Shannon Lane from Crush On Color - see more of Shannon's gorgeous projects here

You may just be joining the blog hop here with me, Leisa Pedersen or may have come from the person previous to me.  Where ever you started, don't miss a single post. There are so many talented demonstrators in our hop today.

Today we are asked to CASE (Copy And Selectively Edit) any project that has
been created by Shannon.

This is Shannon's card(s) I have chosen to case:

Here is my take on Shannon's cards:

My colour combination is Rich Razzleberry, Daffodil Delight and Silver.
I have the design the same and just changed the colours and the sentiment.

The first card is simply Whisper White Thick cardstock base with a few Brights Enamel Shapes scattered around.  I used Rich Razzleberry Ombré ink pad and stamped a sentiment from Suite Sentiments Stamp Set.

With the second card I used Rich Razzleberry as my card base and layered with Whisper White Thick.  Again a few enamel shapes scattered around and I added some Brights Designer Series Paper which I cut out with one of the circles from the Stitched Shape Framelits.  I stamped the sentiment on a piece of Whisper White and made it a banner with the Banner Triple Punch.

My favourite out of these is the third card....

Adding some splashes of Daffodil Delight ink on the layer, changing the Designer Series Paper shape and finishing off with a few silver stars and Silver Metallic thread really makes it pop.

I was really excited to give this case a go - I couldn't believe how making subtle changes to one card can make such a difference to the final result.  A big thanks to Shannon for showing just how easy this is!!

I hope you have enjoyed our hop so far.

There are so many amazing ideas to draw inspiration from so be sure to continue your journey on this blog hop by following the list to see who’s up next!

Happy Hello - Crazy Crafters Team Project Highlights

Hello Everyone

Hooray it's Friday!!!
that time of the week for  Project Highlights with the Crazy Crafters Team.

This week I have done something a little different and had
heaps of fun creating it.

I am always on the lookout for masculine cards - they seem few and far between these days.  So I have gone a bit grungy and created this....

Using a Basic Black cardstock base I then layered with Pacific Point.  I cut a smaller layer of Whisper White Thick and randomly stamped a background with images from Touches of Texture, Ghoulish Grunge and Timeless Textures
stamp sets in Smokey Slate, Basic Gray and Pacific Point ink.
I made two banners with the Banner Triple Punch,  made a cute sentiment from the Endless Birthday Wishes stamp set and stamped in Pacific Point ink.

I love the way this turned out and will be trying a "girly" grunge
in Melon Mambo too.

The Crazy Crafters Team Project Highlights are every Friday night and you can vote for your favourite.  I hope you feel my project is worthy of your vote and if so you can cast your vote here
