Aim For Alaska Blog Hop

Hi Everyone!!

Welcome to this amazing blog hop!!
Kylie Bertucci started this training group Aim for Alaska to help, support and inspire demonstrators in her team, The Crazy Crafters, to achieve their goal of achieving the Stampin' Up! Annual Incentive trip.  Now not only does it help her team - but it has gone GLOBAL - yes, everyone wants to be a part of this great support group.

I won't waffle on too much but I do want to let you know how this group has helped me. I work fulltime outside of Stampin' Up!® and have a family so this was just a hobby for me with no intentions of anything else.  I have found the training and support within the Aim for Alaska group (and my very supportive upline Nicole) really inspiring, and showing that if you concentrate on one aspect that you want to achieve at a time - things will change.  For me it did.  It has taken me nearly two years however I now have a team of five demonstrators and growing....

Now enough about me, let's get on with what we are here for:

You may be joining our hop here with me, Leisa Pedersen or you may have come from the person previous to me.  Where ever you started, don't miss a single post.  There are so many talented demonstrators in our hop today.

THEME:  Inspired by Alaska
It could be the colours, the nature, the animals - whatever you want to take from Alaska.  I have chosen colours and was inspired by google images of the Northern Lights

Isn't this just spectacular!!
Now there is no way on earth that my skills can replicate this image as beautiful as it is here but I gave it a go....not quite how I imagined that it would turn out but I'm happy with it.  Here is my card...

The colours I chose are Night of Navy, Melon Mambo, Pumpkin Pie, Daffodil Delight and Cucumber Crush.  I used my sponge daubers to rub the colours and tried to blend together.  The tree image is from Peaceful Pines, stamped in Black Staz On ink and the sentiment from Cottage Garden.  I stamped this on Whisper White and cut out using the Classic Label punch and adhered to the card with Dimensionals.

I wanted to add the glittery stars effect but had to settle with a few Metallic Shapes stars to finish off. So there it is....one northern lights inspired card.

I hope you have enjoyed our hop so far.

There are so many amazing ideas to draw inspiration from so be sure to continue your journey this hop by following the list to see who's up next!

Thanks so much for stopping by.
See you again soon

Leisa
xx
