Crazy Crafters Blog Hop - Casing Jennifer Michalski

Welcome to the Crazy Crafters Blog Hop with our very special guest Jennifer Michalski from Stamping Serenity.  You can find out more about Jennifer and Stamping Serenity here.

You may just be joining the blog hop here at my blog Leisa Pedersen or may have come from the person previous to me.  Where ever you started, don't miss a single post. There are so many talented ladies (and gent) in our hop today.

Today we are asked to CASE (Copy And Selectively Edit) any project that has been created by Jennifer.

This is Jennifer's card I have chosen to case:

And this is my take on her design:

I started this CASE with the idea in mind to showcase a DSP suite like Jennifer had done however after having a few trials I could tell it wasn't me.  So I changed the concept a little.
My card is 5x7 and I used Very Vanilla card stock as the base of my card.  I then found this gorgeous Designer Series Paper (DSP) - By The Shore - for the matting and I think it works perfectly.
I then layered with a 4.25" square of Very Vanilla and more wavy DSP from the same suite, creating a sort of sand to sea image.  The lighthouse is from the stamp set From Land to Sea, which I stamped in Staz-On ink then fussy cut and mounted with dimensionals.
I then took another piece of the striped DSP (from the same suite), used Dapper Denim ink to stamp the sentiment and adhered using dimensionals again  -  the sentiment is from Cottage Garden.
There are so many amazing ideas to draw inspiration from so be sure to continue your journey on this blog hop by following the list to see who’s up next!

Thanks so much for stopping by.
