Well it seems like forever ago that I submitted a project for the Crazy Crafters Team Highlights.... and it has been a while.

Here's hoping to be back with a vengeance and taking part every week again now.

My project tonight was made for a Colour Challenge #IC03 with Infinity Stampers Team

Our colour challenge was just that  -  A CHALLENGE!!!! 

Using a mix of old and new, the colour palette was

Mint Macarron, Daffodil Delight, Pink Pirouette and Tip Top Taupe

The project needed to incorporate all these colours but design and theme was open to anything.  So I decided to pull out a stamp set that I have had sitting for a while but hadn't used.  Introducing the Fabulous Flamingo stamp set (143758)

I used Tip Top Taupe as my card base and then matted that with Pink Pirouette and Whisper White.  The images are really self explanatory however I will say for the flamingo's legs I stamped off once to give a lighter effect.  I also used one of Stampin' Up!'s most popular stamps sets -  Swirly Bird (141749) to create the sun. Stamping the sentiment on Whisper White and using the Stitched Shapes Framelits Dies (145372) to cut it out, give a bit of depth to the card without being overpowering.

And to finish off, a scatter of Subtles Enamel Shapes.

I was so out of my comfort zone with these colours and not really sure how I feel about the card but the more I look at it on display in my craft room, the more it is growing on me :)
