I wanted to start my blog journey with something fairly simple so I have cased (copy and selectively edit) a card from Julie Kettlewell, a demo in the UK. I really like Julie's creations as they are crisp and clean in design. You can take a look at Julie's blog at www.juliesjapes.blogspot.com
My son Alex turned 9 last Saturday and like most boys, Lego has been a big part of his life. As part of his birthday gifts we transformed one of the rooms in our home to a Lego room so I thought what better way to complete the celebrations with a Lego birthday card.
Here is my card:
The card size is 5.75" x 5.75" and I used Pacific Point as the card base. I then layered with Whisper White to create my background. The Lego blocks are 1 1\4" square and I used the 1/2" circle punch to make the knobs of the blocks. I used Real Red, Pacific Point, Daffodil Delight and Cucumber Crush card stock as these colours matched the Lego colours almost perfectly. I then stamped with an sentiment from Number of Years stamp set and die cut the number 9 with the Large Number Framelits Dies. A full list of products I used is below.
