Great Friend

Hi Everyone

It's Friday but a very special and exciting Friday this week.  Not only is it the Crazy Crafters Team Project Highlights........It's ONSTAGE LOCAL weekend.  Yep, tonight is the start of one and a half fun filled days here in Australia beginning with Centre Stage for all demonstrators titled Silver Elite and above.  Tomorrow is a full day of learning and playing with new products for all demonstrators AND we get to see the NEW ANNUAL CATALOGUE!!!

I was playing around with the Window Shopping stamp set from the Occasions catalogue and I was drawn to the large sentiment.

Here is my creation:

I already had some Melon Mambo card bases ready so I just added a design from the Brights Designer Series Paper Stack.  Stamped the sentiment on Whisper White, cut out with the Stitched Shapes Framelits Dies, added Dimensionals and I was finished.....a really quick design for bulk cards.

A Super Simple Birthday Card

Hi Everyone

Back at work for another week and it's going to be a busy one.  In our office at work we have 5 birthdays in the next 8 days, so cards are in demand.

I need quick and simple cards in times like these.  So I find using Designer Series Paper and a simple sentiment is the best way to do a number of cards at once.  You may remember my Designer Series Paper challenge a few weeks ago, highlighting the gorgeous range of papers Stampin' Up!® have on offer.

I have revisited a favourite from my challenge in Succulent Garden.

This is such a beautiful pattern and colour range with never ending combinations. 

And remember you can make 72 card fronts from just one pack of Designer Series Paper......how good is that!!!!

My card today:

Using Sweet Sugarplum card stock really brings out the soft pinks and plum colours in the paper.  I used a sentiment from Because You Care (retired) stamp set.  I can't give up this set - I love the font on these sentiments and as you can see, it fits perfectly when using the Stitched Shapes Framelits Dies.

Crazy Crafters Blog Hop with Special Guest Mikaela Titheridge

Hello again and welcome to the Crazy Crafters Bog Hop with our special guest, UK demonstrator Mikaela Titheridge from The Crafty oINK Pen - last week Mikaela celebrated her 5 year anniversary with Stampin' Up!®  Congratulations Mikaela, time certainly flies by when you are having fun doing what you love!

You may be joining our hop here with me, Leisa Pedersen or you may have come from the person previous to me.  Where ever you started, don't miss a single post.  There are so many talented demonstrators in our hop today.

As Mikaela is our special guest, our theme is to CASE (copy and selectively edit) any project created by Mikaela. 

This is Mikaela's card I chose to CASE:

This cute 4" x 4" card Mikaela made last April and I was inspired by the simplicity of it.

As always when CASEing, we change things around a bit and here is my creation:

I decided to stick with the traditional card size and Melon Mambo as my main colour - I just love this colour as it's so bright and happy.  I used a stamp set that I've had in my collection for some time and never used - You're Sublime.  I think I will be using this alot more now - thanks for the inspiration Mikaela!

As you can see I chose a Basic Black card base to bring out the black in the wheelbarrow, and used the Watercolour Pencils to add colour.  A few Brights Enamel Shapes scattered around and my card is complete.

Thanks for the Smile - Crazy Crafters Team Project Highlights

Thank gosh it's Friday!!

It's been a pretty challenging week for me this week work wise.....I would really rather spend my day stamping and being creative than sitting behind a desk.

As always at this time of the week, it is time to highlight some of the amazing talent in the Crazy Crafters Team.  I am in awe of how creative and inspiring our team is week after week.

I have chosen to use another host stamp set this week - the same set Kylie used a couple of weeks ago when she got some great water colouring tips from her good friend John.

So I guess I could say that I CASEd Kylie!! And my card today:

Using the Fabulous Flora Stamp Set I stamped the floral image in Staz On Black and used some Watercolour Pencils to add colour.  I chose Rich Razzleberry for the main flower as I love the richness of this colour.  I also stamped the sentiment in the same colour which is from Dragonfly Dreams.  I was going to use Basic Black card stock for the base of my card but it looked a bit wishy washy, so I decided to stick with Rich Razzleberry and I think it works perfectly.  This was so quick to make it would be a great card for a beginners stamping class.
